This exceptional rum was finished in a barrel that held Eagle Rare 17-year-old bourbon, a rare bourbon from the prestigious Buffalo Trace Distillery’s Antique Collection. The results feature the bold character of Myers’s Dark Rum with rich, lingering notes of classic Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Each bottle is delivered from a single barrel, giving each sip a unique and distinct taste.
Bottled at 86 proof (43% ABV), this rum is described as “complex and inviting. On the nose, subtle vanilla blends with delicate hints of baking spices and dark fruit, mixed with bourbon and traces of dark chocolate. The Eagle Rare barrel lends its bourbon character, while the rum adds tropical fruit and classic rum notes, creating a balance between oak and fruit. The finish is gentle and smooth, leaving lingering notes of vanilla and dried fruit.”
